Yesterday we took delivery of 5 duck eggs and a hatching kit.
When we came in today 2 of the eggs had hatched!
As you can imagine it was excitement all round as we brought the children in to see the hatched eggs and they could also see that the other 3 eggs were beginning to hatch with little beaks trying to break out the shells.
This afternoon to the absolute delight of the children they were lucky enough to actually see an egg hatch.
The hatched ducklings are now in an incubator for a few days and then they will have a paddle in a large water tray we have.
